This story is about reclaiming my personal energy! Energy that I didn't even realize I had given away.
The mantra, "Today can be anything you want it to be" was given to me many years ago. It was a morning just like this, when my eyes were still closed after a night of deep slumber and my awareness was still somewhat anchored in that dream consciousness.
I remember Spirit joyfully whispering to me with the energies of anticipation and excitement. In fact, the exact message had an attention drawing "You know..." before it.
"You know...
Today can be anything you want it to be."
Those words changed my perception of reality because I learned that everything my mind had already planned into my day (through best intentions or through habit) were just POTENTIAL ways to experience the gift of a precious day.
Seriously! Those words taught me to be more conscious of where I'd like to place my creative energies and attention — and it taught me to become conscious of the energies I choose to face my day with.
I can be a grump who trudges through her daily chores or I can super-charge my daily "chores" by accepting that they all support my journey. I can be flexible with how and when I approach them.
As an example, I didn't "have to" wash dishes or do laundry (like I had been raised to believe). I genuinely wanted to do these things so that I could care for my son and create a home that was comfy for us both. I could even be silly and playful while doing them, if I wished.
This conscious shift changed everything.
It taught me that I had power over my life, always.
Fast forward to this morning.
Once again, I was still partly anchored in my dream state while my eyes were still closed and I heard the words, "Take your power back."
As Spirit said these words, I saw that it was related to the first message I received so many years ago.
I started to replay my dreams so that I could understand the teaching. That's when I instantly saw the bigger picture, and it all made sense.
There are still scenarios (in my very real life) where I don't honestly feel like "the power is mine."
Two particular themes repeated themselves in my full night of dreams.
In one repeating theme, I felt subjugated by the "lifelessness" of computers and technology. As much as I try to place positive energy into everything that requires technology in my personal and my business life (like writing this very post), I believe that what makes me so special can be re-interpreted (or lost) in the translation through data streams.
One of last night's dream scenarios related to an ordinary hotel reservation. It was randomly switched to a much less desirable hotel, and I didn't feel like I had power over that situation. No one was listening — or caring — so I surrendered by "making the best of a disappointing situation" instead of TRUSTING in my self-worth.
I'm only just beginning to blog again and create valuable content on social media (in my real life), but aren't we being asked to trust in "algorithms" to randomly disperse our information to the world?
Our devotional effort and care doesn't always seem to have as much power in these experiences.
In the other repeating theme, I felt inextricably bound to other people's thoughts and beliefs.
I really don't give this theme much attention because I taught myself that "people can love me — or not." (Another powerful mantra I used to detach from the approval of others, many years ago.)
However, in last night's dreams, I found myself avoiding any conversations that wouldn't be supportive and inspiring.
"I" was censoring myself to make my life easier and less combative.
Wowww! I didn't realize I was doing either of these things.
So what is the answer?
How can I heal these limited belief systems?
Spirit speaks...
Return to the truth of your soul! What energies, frequencies, and truths feel incredibly supportive to you?
This is where your power lies!
You're still entertaining the belief that something outside of yourself can hold power over you. So let's discuss POWER for a moment.
Power is the ability to shape, design, and create your experience in love. When you are in harmony with the divine flow, you allow life's greatest potential to EMPOWER every one of your thoughts, intentions, and invocations.
We can simplify this by saying that power is the ability to create — and since we all are responsible for our own creations — true POWER always resides within.
If you sense that your relationship with technology or the approval of others is creating resistance in your life, change the way you see that relationship.
Let's talk about technology first.
How beautiful technology is when you allow it to support your journey! It's supporting you as you type, right now. And it's supporting you as you save your most important files and as you communicate with other wisdom keepers around the globe.
We can honestly tell you that humanity is currently ascending because of the CONNECTIVE CAPABILITIES technology has brought into your lives.
Technology can be beautiful.
But just as you do with every other life experience, we encourage you to create healthy boundaries for yourself. Know what you are willing to participate in, and know what you are unwilling to compromise.
Trust that you will only welcome the highest vibrations of loving support into your life! And this gracefully includes all technological support systems.
Trust that technology will not be an adversary because you're allowing the divine to assist you in harmonizing your energy with any technological relationships that support you.
You're in control of the ultimate experience! You're in control of what you're willing to allow.
Let the divine orchestrate the details.
Harmony is possible because YOU get to design every element of your precious life experience
Now, if we shift the conversation to discussing the approval of others, it's somewhat similar.
Your focus needs to be on the thoughts, beliefs, and practices you're willing to participate in — but you must also remind yourself that you're truly the only voice that matters.
Any perceived resistance begins and ends within you (how you see yourself).
We acknowledge that looking for approval (or merely agreement) is a deeply indoctrinated programming. Your soul is looking for the support you know you are worthy of — but any support you find outside of yourself will be conditional.
Your confidence won't be entirely foundational until you learn to bravely trust yourself.
To do this, let's remind you that no one can live as you do! No one is meant to see the world as you do. No one is meant to love as you do. No one is meant to dream as you do.
You're the only voice of acceptance and agreement you really need.
When you notice that people see life differently than you do, we encourage you to celebrate your individuality! It was never meant to distract you from your greatest potential.
Thank you, Spirit! This sacred message brings light to some of the limited beliefs I was still participating in.
As wise as I am, there will always be more to see, understand, and accept — and that excites me.
Awakening is a journey.
Enlightenment is a process.
